Carmel Garden Inn

Our Garden

Angel Trumpet Pink Perfection

One of the things we pride ourselves with here at the Carmel Garden Inn is our gardens. Our logo is the Angel Trumpet (Brugmansia) and we have several varieties. When in bloom, the night air is filled with a mystical fragrance you would find in the higher mountainous area of the Andes of South America. We also have a collection of cool growing orchids which enjoy the coastal cool evenings and mild days. Like any garden, spring, summer, fall and winter bring different seasons and different flowers. The drought we’ve experienced the past couple of years has had an impact on what we can successfully grow so we have planted quite  few succulents throughout our garden as well. And remember….if it wasn’t for plants….we couldn’t breathe!

Dennis is an avid birder and is compiling a list of birds he sees in our garden. If you’d like to see what birds he’s found since we took over at the end of March 2013, click the link Birds in the Garden.
